A tender glimpse of - The Innocence of Childhood
An occasional touring exhibition - Supported by Getty Images Hulton Archive

The influence of Chillingworth's images on the current generation may best be expressed in public comments on his touring exhibition called 'The Innocence of Childhood'

"Marvellous photographs and such feeling and atmosphere" - Iris and Bob Taylor... "Thank you for the black and white - a dying art. Great Photography" - Bill Fryn... "Excellent photography each with a story to tell!"... "Cool-exciting-unbelievable" - Cora Ann Bennett, Child... "Groovy but sad" - Hannah Lively, age 5... "Le 17 Mai c'est tres bon et tres interessante. Merci" - Mm Luçoise... "If only we could recapture such honest photojournalism now" - L.D.

Children, always appealing and emotive subjects, were always sensitively handled by one of the country's 'makers of photographic history'. Cast in the mould of classic photographic journalism, these Chillingworth images speak to you with eloquence and charm.

The exhibition was last seen at the Birmingham Central Library’s Centre for the Child in September 2006.
Collectors and devotees of the art and craft of photography can view his images, by arrangement. Signed, contemporary fibre-based prints are sold to order.
Prices: from £200.00.
